According to news reports on MSNBC, 3 people are dead and 3 more were injured at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The shooting took place inside the Shelby Center, which is located on campus. Two people are in custody at the moment and police are still sweeping the building.

According to Huntsville police Sgt. Jack Pugh, the two in custody are a man and woman. The police reported to the local news station that the female suspect opened fire in a faculty meeting when she learned she wouldn’t get tenure.
