It was a slow night in Vancouver for the U.S. team today. We only took home two medals out of the four scheduled events. Both medals came from the men’s Alpine Skiing event held earlier today at 11:30 PST. Norway had another great day today, winning two gold medals out of the four events.
Alpine Skiing – Men’s Super-G
In this event, Norway beat out two U.S. team members by a small margin and took the gold away. Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway, came in just .28 seconds ahead of Bode Miller and only .31 seconds ahead of Andrew Weibrecht. The 32 year old Bode Miller received the silver here to go with his bronze medal he won in the men’s downhill a few days ago. Andrew Weibrecht came in third and winning his first medal in Vancouver.
