Notorious BIG
It’s been 13 years since death of the famous rapper from Queens. Christopher George Latore Wallace (May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997), was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, California. Many believe that the East Coast–West Coast hip hop feud, was the reason why he was killed.

Raised in the Brooklyn, New York, Biggie grew up during the 1980′s crack epidemic and started dealing drugs at an early age. In 1989, he was arrested on weapons charges in and sentenced to five years’ probation. After being released from prison, Wallace made a demo tape under the name Biggie Smalls. The demo tape was heard by Uptown Records A&R and record producer, Sean “Puffy” Combs.

After the launch of his rapping career, Biggie married singer Faith Evans nine days after they met at a Bad Boy photo shoot. Although he and Tupac Shakur were supposedly friends, somehow a war erupted between the coasts which led to the death of Wallace. Wallace’s murder remains unsolved and there are many theories regarding the identities and motives of the murderers.
