Brad Keselowski Crash
Last Sunday in Atlanta, Brad Keselowski was involved in a horrific accident on the track. During the Sprint Cup race, competitor Carl Edwards nudged Keselowski ‘s car, which resulted in an airborne crash. NASCAR placed Edwards on probation for three races because of the incident. Luckily, Keselowski was not injured the crash.

The probation, which begins March 21, when the Sprint Cup series moves to Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee. There was some criticism that the penalty was too mild, but Keselowski said he supported the decision. NASCAR president, Mike Helton, defended Edwards’ actions saying that he had intended only to take Keselowski out of contention and that NASCAR officials were trying to determine why the race car went airborne.

In January, NASCAR announced that it would push for drivers to police themselves, which would allow for more compelling racing. Many are upset that this would increase the number of crashes considerably in an already dangerous sport.
