Wardrobe Malfunction Big Issue In India

Fashion TV
According to India’s Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Fashion TV has been suspended for nine days. Last September, while the station was covering a fashion show by the late British designer Alexander McQueen, they televised footage of a model’s naked breast. Although India is huge market, having over a billion consumers, one must still be wary that they are still a conservative country.

It is still uncertain whether Fashion TV, which broadcasts internationally via satellite and cable systems, intentionally left it in or not. Government officials in India said, “the visuals were found to be obscene, denigrating women and were not suitable for children.” Regardless of the punishment, I’m sure other companies will continue to push and break the limits, while taking advantage of this goldmine of consumers.
