While the plane was taking off, it somehow hit nearby power lines, which caused it to explode against the UPS freight facility. No one survived the crash, however two people were rushed to the hospital. It is still unknown whether why they were taken to the hospital.
Airport spokeswoman Sherry Wallace says the pilot of the single-engine Piper reported a problem to air traffic controllers shortly before the crash. The status of the two people who survived the crash are still unknown.
