Geminoid F Robot
Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro at Osaka University in Japan, is famous for creating a lifelike robot replica of himself. His latest female humanoid robot, the Geminoid F, can now mimic human facial expressions. The developers said they expect the robot will eventually be used in real-life situations.

In a press conference in Osaka, Ishiguro demonstrated how his new robot could smile, laugh, and grimace like a real woman. The new Geminoid F (“F” for female) is designed to be remote controlled by an operator. The robot was modeled after a woman in her 20′s, however they plan to keep the identity of the model confidential for now.

Copies of the robot will be sold for approximately $110,000 each. They will not be available to the general public, but will primarily be sold to other robotics research organizations.
