Boy Survives Shootout in Tulsa Apartment

Fairmont Terrace Apartments Tulsa Oklahoma

On Monday, officers discovered four women shot inside an apartment in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The only survivor of this massacre was a young three year old boy. Tulsa police discovered the four bodies at theĀ Fairmont Terrace Apartments around noon after responding to a 911 call.

Officials have identified the four shooting victims as Misty Nunley, 33, and Julie Jackson, 55, Rebeika Powell, 23, and Kayetie Melchor, 23. Sadly, the younger women Rebeika and Kayetie, were twin sisters. Investigators the the surviving boy may be the son of one of these women.

The father of the slain sisters was identified as Larry Powell. His sad story started with his son passing away from the flu in 2003. Now, with the death of his remaining children, he only has two grandchildren left.

While the investigation continues, Tulsa police are urging anyone with information to come forward so they can solve this gruesome crime quickly. The three year old boy will be held in protective custody temporarily, but the police have not yet released his name or if he even has family searching for him.

Supposedly, the Fairmont Terrace Apartments is in a sketchy neighborhood. The building’s website advertises a courtesy safety patrol during the night. The complex is located in south Tulsa close to the Southern Hills Country Club and Oral Roberts University.
