Yesterday, Latin pop star Ricky Martin finally confirmed that he was gay. In a blog post, the 38 year old star answered the long asked question. The singer said one of the reasons why he kept his homosexuality hidden was because he was told by some in his entourage that it would hurt his career. (more…)
Walt Disney circulated a strange request to casting directors around Los Angeles last week. Spencer Tunick is an American artist known for taking group photos of nude people, while they are posing in urban locations around the world. All the models who pose naked for him do so voluntarily, and as a reward they receive a limited edition photo. His most recent installation was at the Sydney Opera House in Australia, where over 5,000 people bared all for him to photograph. (more…)
According to People.com, Sandra Bullock sent a letter saying that she would not be able to attend the London premiere of the movie “The Blind Side.” There is much speculation that the Oscar winner is having marital issues with husband Jesse James. According to India’s Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Fashion TV has been suspended for nine days. Last September, while the station was covering a fashion show by the late British designer Alexander McQueen, they televised footage of a model’s naked breast. Christopher George Latore Wallace (May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997), was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, California. I believe there should be some debate over “The Hurt Locker” winning best movie, but who am I to decide? This years Academy Awards ceremony, hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, took place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. I thought that Avatar should have beaten everyone hands down, but the voters are mainly other actors and people invited to be voters by the AMPAS ( Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ). These pictures were recently posted on UK Today News. I think anyone would know that this girl would grow up to be real hot, just by looking at her yearbook picture. Megan Fox’s younger picture is not that great though. It makes you wonder how she managed to decrease the size of that forehead. The Martin Scorsese film, Shutter Island, took in a whopping $40 million this weekend. This number tops both opening movie records for the director as well as lead actor Leonardo DiCaprio. Scorsese’s best was around $27 million, set by the film The Departed, which coincidentally starred DiCaprio as well. DiCaprio’s previous best was just over $30 million, set by the film Catch Me If You Can, which was directed by Steven Spielberg. (more…)
Although today is Valentine’s Day, I was actually referring to the new movie released this past Friday. This love story, directed by Gary Marshall has over 15 major actors and actresses packed into one two hour movie. On IMDB, this movie is currently 5.7 out of 10 and RottenTomatoes.com has it as a 3.8 out of 10. This movie may not have great reviews so far, but it’s expected to exceed $50 million based off of opening day estimates. (more…)
