Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, whose office is representing the Senate in its legal battle over Hiram Monserrate’s expulsion, responded to the ex-lawmaker’s lawsuit and rejected his legal argument as “absurd” and “dangerous.” Last Friday, Judge William H. Pauley of United States District Court in Manhattan denied Mr. Monserrate’s request to have his removal blocked.
