Apolo Ohno Disqualified – Olympic Update

In the men’s 500m finals, Apolo Ohno was disqualified for pushing Francois-Louis Tremblay of Canada. Although Ohno avoided falling, he supposedly caused the falling of Tremblay and South Korean Sung Si-Bak. The Canadian was still awarded the bronze and Sung Si-Bak the silver. The day wasn’t a total loss, we still took two medals today. (more…)

U.S. Olympic Medal Update 8

Shani DavisYesterday was a great day for the Koreans. They dominated the short track event in both women’s and men’s taking four medals in two events. The U.S. team didn’t do so bad either. We took three medals today out of the six scheduled medal events and we beat Great Britain in Curling – Women’s Round Robin Session 7. The American team is also leading in the total amount of medals acquired in Vancouver. (more…)

U.S. Olympic Medal Update 1

At the end of today, February 13th, the U.S. team takes home four medals in two events. Two medals come from the Short Track – Men’s 1500 m Finals, while the other two came from Freestyle Skiing – Ladies’ Moguls Final. Unfortunately, we did not win any medals in the other three events. (more…)
