Palm Inc. (PALM) has put itself up for sale. The company is working with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Frank Quattrone’s Qatalyst Partners to find a buyer, said the people, who declined to be identified because the sale isn’t public. Taiwan’s HTC Corp. and China’s Lenovo Group Ltd. have looked at the company and may make offers, said the people. (more…)

NYPD Crackdown Warning

The NYPD has issued a warning to all people who talk on their cell phones, without a hands-free device, while they drive. According to a press release issued by the city, police will begin the 24-hour initiative on Thursday, March 25th at midnight. If you’re driving within New York City’s five boroughs this week, I would suggest you make sure you remember your bluetooth headset before you leave the house. (more…)

Sprint’s 4G Android Phone

Yesterday, Sprint showed off it’s new phone at the CTIA wireless conference in Las Vegas. Working with Taiwanese phone maker, HTC Corporation, they have created a 3G/4G handset running off the new Google Android 2.1 operating system. Nokia Invents Kinetic Phone

According to sources, Finnish phone maker Nokia, has recently filed patent applications here in the US. The patent is not for a new phone, but for a device that can pretty much power any piece of mobile technology. Motorola Breaking Up

According to a Motorola Inc. (MOT) press release today, they’re going to split the publicly traded company into two pieces. Each piece will be independent publicly traded companies. In the past it used to be really bad because there were no real laws governing the use of cell phones while driving.
