NYC Gangs Go Wild Last Night

Early this morning, at least 33 people were arrested due to possible gang members running amok in the city. So many rowdy mobs invaded the city last night, that there were three separate shooting incidents in midtown Manhattan. Four people were taken to the hospital for gunshot wounds, luckily no one was critical nor were there any casualties. (more…)

Phoebe Prince Bullied to Suicide

This story is about a young girl named Phoebe Prince, who moved from Ireland to western Massachusetts last fall. She was a 15 year old freshman who became the target of older girls looking to put her in her place. The mean natured girls stalked, intimidated, and bullied her beyond her limits. On January 14th, Phoebe couldn’t take anymore and decided to walk into a closet to hang herself. (more…)

According to media in China, prosecutors have charged 22 people who joined a wife-swapping club with criminal licentiousness. This supposed crime, which carries a five-year sentence, has recently been a hot topic between lawyers, sex experts and the public. Drunk Father Puts Baby In Oven

Local Kentucky police officers arrested 33 year old Larry Long, for endangering the welfare of his child. During his boozed up state, he put his 5 week old son inside their kitchen oven and left him there overnight. He is being held on bail of $10,000 and authorities have removed the infant from its mother’s care and awarded emergency custody to members of her family. (more…)

2 Teens Shot in Colorado School

Earlier this evening, two teens were shot at Deer Creek Middle School in Colorado. This gunman, armed with a high-powered assault rifle, opened fire without warning and injured two students before being subdued. Coincidentally, this Denver school is only miles away from the infamous Columbine High School. (more…)

Bailey's Home in QueensYesterday, the police discovered the bodies of a mother, father, and their two teenage daughters. The family has been identified as the Bailey’s of Queens, New York. The mother, Dionne Coy-Bailey an assistant principal, had moved out on her husband month earlier, because she feared for her life after discovering a gun under the bed. (more…)

Monserrate Reversal is Rejected

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, whose office is representing the Senate in its legal battle over Hiram Monserrate’s expulsion, responded to the ex-lawmaker’s lawsuit and rejected his legal argument as “absurd” and “dangerous.” Last Friday, Judge William H. Pauley of United States District Court in Manhattan denied Mr. Monserrate’s request to have his removal blocked. Ex-Senator Hiram Monserrate, is the first member of the New York State Legislature removed from office since the 1920′s. (more…)

University of Alabama 3 Shot Dead

According to news reports on MSNBC, 3 people are dead and 3 more were injured at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The shooting took place inside the Shelby Center, which is located on campus. Two people are in custody at the moment and police are still sweeping the building. (more…)

Rhode Island Finally Closes Loophole

On November 3rd, 2009, governor Donald Carcieri of Rhode Island, signed into law a bill which closes a loophole that legalizes prostitution.  In 1980, Rhode Island lawmakers accidentally created a loophole that decriminalizes prostitution as long as the solicitation is done indoors and not on a public street.  With many alternative methods of marketing, for example the numerous ads recently removed from Craigslist, many solicitors get off the hook with a decent lawyer.  Nevada is now the only remaining state where this practice is legal.
