Palm Inc. (PALM) has put itself up for sale. The company is working with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Frank Quattrone’s Qatalyst Partners to find a buyer, said the people, who declined to be identified because the sale isn’t public. Taiwan’s HTC Corp. and China’s Lenovo Group Ltd. have looked at the company and may make offers, said the people. (more…)
On Monday, Dell filed a lawsuit against five top LCD manufacturers. The claim, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, say that these companies colluded to maintain an agreed upon price for their products. Several LCD vendors have already pleaded guilty to price fixing in an investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice. (more…)
