Apple iPad Opening Day Sales

According to news sources, Apple Inc. (AAPL) sold over 300,000 iPads during it’s debut on Friday. This number includes the people who pre-ordered their device online, shipments to stores like Best Buy, and retail sales from Apple. Regardless of how this number is calculated, we’ll be able to tell how much consumers really want this product by the end of the week. (more…)

iPad Pre-Order Now Available

As promised last week, Apple made it’s new iPad available for pre-order at 8:30am EST today. Once you’ve completed your pre-order, the iPad will be available for pickup or delivered free on April 3rd. Unfortunately, if you wanted the model with the optional 3G radio, you’re going to wait until the end of April for your new toy to be shipped. (more…)

Alex eReader Available In a Week?

According to Engadget, the eReader “Alex,” may be available by next week. Supposedly, you’ll be able to order your dual-screen, 3.5-inch Android and 6-inch EPD e-Reader right before Apple’s iPad release. The price difference is $359 for Alex and $499 for the iPad. Which one would you pick? (more…)

Barnes & Noble Restocks Nook

nook After Christmas, you could not find the Nook anywhere. The online stock sold out in a blink of an eye and Barnes & Noble was forced to hand out $100 gift certificates to certain Nook buyers. These select customers placed orders to be delivered before the holidays, but didn’t receive them until after Christmas. The e-reader’s numbers have finally been replenished are available again for $259 with free shipping. The questions is… do we want to buy the Nook now, or do we get Amazon’s Kindle 2? (more…)
