Yesterday was a huge day for the U.S. teams. They took home four medals last night, a gold and three silvers. Germany and Norway are trying to catch up, but last night pushed us even further towards medal count leader. The one thing that Germany does have on us, are more gold medals. Unfortunately, we only took one medal today at Whistler, which was in the Nordic Combined event. Norway, Germany, and the Russian Federation took 3, 2, and 2 medals respectively. Germany is right behind us now with 23 total medals to our 26. With five more days left in Vancouver, anything can happen. Team Canada may go on a streak and overtake all the countries. With over 30 medal events left, it’s still anyone’s game! (more…)
The U.S. team didn’t do as well as they hoped on Valentine’s Day in Vancouver. Of the five medal events held today, they only brought home medals in two events. There was one silver and one bronze medal one. The good news of the day was the U.S. women’s ice hockey team destroying the Chinese team 12 – 1. (more…)
