Phillies Fan Tasered
During the Phillies vs. Cardinals game on Monday night in Philadelphia, a crazed fan ran onto the field during the middle of the game. Questions arose after police had to use a taser to subdue the man. Police officials in Philadelphia are now considering whether officers should get involved when unruly, but non-threatening, fans sprint onto the field during sporting events. (more…)

Snow Storm Brings Chaos to East Coast

Snow Storm When waking up this morning in New York, I knew the meteorologists called it right when I saw only a few inches on the floor outside. I had to check if the predictions of up to two feet of snow was true though. Not only did levels of snow reach two feet in certain parts of Virginia, but many area declared a state of emergency due to the power outages. From what information I can gather, a state of emergency has been declared in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Washington D.C. and Maryland. (more…)

groundhog Don’t forget to pray that Phil see his shadow today! If you’re wondering who Phil, is then I guess you didn’t remember that today is Groundhog’s Day (recognized in the U.S. & Canada). On February 2nd each year, Punxsutawney, PA holds a ceremony each year to celebrate the occasion. Their groundhog, named “Punxsutawney Phil,” is supposed to crawl out of his hole and look for his shadow. (more…)
