Machu Picchu in Peru
If you haven’t heard, about two months ago, severe weather had knocked out the rail connecting the tourist attraction to the city of Cuzco. However, through the help of public and private organizations, they have repaired the damaged area and reopened some of the rail line today. They are using buses to transport passengers where the track is still being tested. (more…)

8.8 Earthquake on Coast of Chile

Chile Earthquake
At around 6:34 GMT, a severe earthquake was recorded off the coast of Chile somewhere in between Santiago and Puerto Montt. Sensors registered the quake as an 8.8 according to the USGS (United State Geological Survey). A tsunami warning has been issued for Chile, Ecuador, and Peru, but there are no reports of any injuries from the massive quake yet. (more…)
