According to media outlets in Virginia, a small plane has crashed into a UPS building near the airport. The freight facility located in Roanoke, was crashed into about two hours ago. Luckily, no one on the ground at the time was hurt too badly. (more…)
Not more than a few hours ago, a gunman opened fire outside the Metro Entrance of the Pentagon. The suspect, John Patrick Bedell, grazed two Pentagon police officers with his spray, but the officers managed to shoot back and critically wound Bedell. Luckily, the shooter did not make it beyond the first layer of security here in Arlington, Virginia. (more…)
When waking up this morning in New York, I knew the meteorologists called it right when I saw only a few inches on the floor outside. I had to check if the predictions of up to two feet of snow was true though. Not only did levels of snow reach two feet in certain parts of Virginia, but many area declared a state of emergency due to the power outages. From what information I can gather, a state of emergency has been declared in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Washington D.C. and Maryland. (more…)
